Class Offerings

      In Sanskrit, yoga means "union." Through physical poses, breathing techniques and meditation, individuals practicing yoga work towards realizing a full union of their body, mind and soul.
Yoga is well known to relieve stress, increase flexibility, develop muscle strength, improve circulation, and sharpen concentration. Through a process of physical postures, breathing exercises, and meditation, you will find your body and mind letting go of stress and negativity. Feelings of peace and harmony will arise within you.
A regular yoga practice increases our sense of well-being, concentration and calm. Through practice and consistency, you can move away from negative physical or mental conditions, and healing can be achieved.
Accept and be gentle with yourself. Yoga is open to everyone at all levels. Do what you can do, without judgment.  The Yoga House offers classes suitable for all levels of practice. Hatha All Levels

Suitable for beginners and more experienced practitioners, this class explores a variety of yoga poses (asana), breathing techniques (pranayama) and meditation (dhyana).  Modifications will be provided so that all students work at their own pace and level.  Proper alignment and mindful actions of the body can be found through the holding of poses. Hatha Yoga brings balance, strength, and a sense of well-being to the practitioner. Pre-registration is required.

Hatha Intermediate

Taking it deeper.  This class is designed for continuing beginners and intermediate practitioners.  We continue to explore the poses (asana) and also introduce more challenging poses and variations. Pre-registration is required.

Mom & Baby Yoga

A gentle yoga class which enhances the developing bond between mom and baby.  Moms spend time with their new baby while reconnecting with themselves and gently strengthening, toning and calming postpartum body and mind.   This is a supportive environment where new mom’s can exchange experiences and introduce their babies to new friends. No need for a baby sitter or disrupting baby’s feeding schedule.  This class is appropriate for babies six weeks to pre-active crawling stage. Pre-registration is required.

Gentle Yoga

This relaxing class explores breath and movement with a slow moving series of postures allowing the body and mind to absorb the benefits that each posture. Students are encouraged to listen to their bodies and participate at a level that energizes and opens the body with ease and comfort. Yoga props such as bolsters, straps and chairs may be utilized by those who need support holding the postures. All postures done in this class can be adjusted to accommodate those with limited upper body strength, joint conditions or other mobility issues. Those without specific physical limitations can also participate in this class and perform the postures in their complete form. Pre-registration is required.
